Day 1
Guest will be received at Tirupati Airport/Tirupati Railway Station and driven to the hotel. Check-in to your hotel in Tirupati and freshen up. Start your day with a traditional South Indian breakfast at a local restaurant, perhaps trying some idli, vada, and dosa. Begin your pilgrimage by visiting the renowned Sri Venkateswara Temple, one of the most revered and most visited Hindu temples in the world. It is considered as one of the holiest and the wealthiest temples in the world and millions of devotees flock here to pay their reverence. Around 50,000 pilgrims visit the temple every day, which is a massive number. The temple holds immense spiritual significance for devotees, who believe that Lord Venkateswara (also known as Lord Balaji, Srinivasa, or Govinda) fulfils the wishes and prayers of his devotees. Depending on the crowd, you might have to wait in line for darshan (worship). It's advisable to plan your visit early to avoid long queues. Explore the temple premises and participate in any rituals. Seek blessings at the temple.
After temple visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, trying some authentic Andhra cuisine like pulihora (tamarind rice), biryani, or spicy curries. In the afternoon, visit Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is one of the prominent temples in Tirupati. Spend some time exploring the local markets for souvenirs, religious items, and handicrafts. Enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant, sampling more delicious South Indian dishes.
Day 2
Check out from the hotel after the breakfast. Start your journey towards Mahabalipuram which is approximately 190 kilometres and it takes around 3–4-hour drive from Tirupati. On the way, you can stop at Kanchipuram, renowned for its temples, silk sarees, and rich cultural heritage. Kanchipuram attracts tourists, pilgrims, and silk enthusiasts from all over the world. Spend some time exploring the Ekambareswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva one of the largest temple in Kanchipuram and is known for its massive temple complex and impressive architecture. t in South India and Kailasanathar Temple, one of the oldest structures in Kanchipuram, dating back to the 8th century. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is renowned for its intricate carvings and beautiful sculptures. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Kanchipuram, trying some local specialties.
After lunch, resume your journey to Mahabalipuram. Upon reaching Mahabalipuram, visit the iconic Shore Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its beautiful coastal location and intricate architecture. After sightseeing, check into your hotel in Mahabalipuram. Enjoy dinner at a restaurant near your hotel, sampling some fresh seafood dishes for which Mahabalipuram is famous.
Day 3
Start your day with breakfast at your hotel. Spend the morning exploring other attractions in Mahabalipuram such as the Pancha Rathas (Five Rathas), Arjuna's Penance, and the Mahishasuramardini Cave. The Pancha Rathas, also known as the Five Rathas, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Mahabalipuram. It is a group of monolithic rock-cut temples, each carved from a single granite boulder, showcasing exemplary Dravidian architecture. Arjuna's Penance, also known as the Descent of the Ganges, is a magnificent bas-relief carved on two massive granite boulders in Mahabalipuram. The Mahishasuramardini Cave Temple is another notable rock-cut structure in Mahabalipuram, dedicated to Goddess Durga in her form as Mahishasuramardini, the slayer of the buffalo demon Mahishasura.
After sightseeing enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Mahabalipuram, trying some more local delicacies. After lunch, spend some leisure time at Mahabalipuram Beach, relaxing or indulging in water sports activities. Check out from your hotel for your return journey. Here we end our trip.
