Day 1
Guest will be received at Kochi International Airport / Central railway station Thrissur and driven to the hotel. The distance between Kochi International Airport and Thrissur is approximately 52 kilometres, and it takes around 1 and a half hours to reach, depending on traffic conditions. Check-in to the hotel and freshen up. En-route visit Adi Shankaracharya Temple in Kalady, the birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya, this temple is dedicated to the great Indian philosopher and theologian. Arrive at Sree Vadakkunnathan Temple, one of the oldest and largest Shiva temples in Kerala and is renowned for its architectural grandeur. The primary deity worshipped at the temple is Lord Shiva, in the form of Vadakkunnathan.
Visit Paramekkavu Bhagavathy Temple, which is adjacent to Vadakkunnathan Temple. Paramekkavu Bhagavathy Temple is a prominent Hindu temple located in Thrissur, Kerala, India. The primary deity worshipped at Paramekkavu Bhagavathy Temple is Goddess Bhagavathy, who is considered the divine embodiment of Shakti. The goddess is depicted in various forms, including Durga, Bhadrakali, and Saraswati. Experience the serene atmosphere and witness the temple rituals. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Thrissur, sampling authentic Kerala cuisine. Take a leisurely stroll around Thrissur town, exploring its markets and cultural landmarks. Day 2
Begin your day early in the morning to ensure you have enough time to complete the pilgrimage. Have a fulfilling breakfast at your hotel in Thrissur before embarking on your journey. Check-out from the hotel in Thrissur and head towards Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple, one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Krishna, the embodiment of love, compassion, and divine grace in Hindu mythology. There may be specific dress codes required for entry. Spend some time in the temple premises, offering prayers and seeking blessings from Lord Krishna.
After lunch, travel to Anakotta. also known as Punnathurkotta Elephant Sanctuary, is a unique and renowned elephant sanctuary located in Thrissur. Anakotta is home to a significant number of elephants, often numbering over 60. These elephants are owned by the Guruvayur Temple and are considered sacred. They are used in temple ceremonies and processions. Visitors to Anakotta can observe the elephants from a safe distance as they go about their daily routines. You can witness the elephants being bathed in the nearby pond, fed their meals, and even watch demonstrations of their intelligence and skills by the mahouts. After visiting the Anakotta, you can proceed Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple, is approximately 26 kilometers away and takes around 43 minutes to reach by road.
After completing the darshan at Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple proceed to Kodungalloor Bhagavathy Temple which is approximately 35 kilometers away from Thrissur. The primary deity worshipped at the Kodungallur Bhagavathy Temple is Goddess Bhadrakali, who is revered as the supreme deity and protector of the devotees. After visiting the temple proceed to Chottanikkara is approximately 43 kilometres away and takes around 1 hour 44 minutes to reach by road. Check-in to a star hotel in Chottanikkara and have dinner at a nearby restaurant or at your hotel. After dinner, take some time to relax and unwind after your journey.
Day 3
Begin your day early in the morning to ensure you have enough time to complete the pilgrimage. Visit Chottanikkara Temple, one of the most revered deities in Kerala. The goddess is revered as a healer and remover of afflictions, and devotees visit the temple seeking blessings for prosperity, health, and well-being. Have a fulfilling breakfast at your hotel in Chottanikkara and check out from your hotel. Start your journey towards Vaikom Mahadeva Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples in Kerala which is approximately 23 kilometres away and takes around 37 minutes to reach by road. Then head to Ambalappuzha which is approximately 54 kilometres about 1 hour 22 minutes to reach. Have your lunch on the way to Ambalappuzha.
Proceed to Ambalappuzha Sree Krishna Temple, a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple's main sanctum houses the deity of Lord Krishna in the form of a child, holding a butter pot (locally known as Ambalapuzha Palpayasam). Explore the temple complex and witness the rituals. Seek blessings at the temple. Continue your journey to Mannarasala Temple, one of the most important centres of serpent worship in Kerala and is believed to be one of the largest such temples in the world. It’s approximately 28 minutes drive. Proceed to Oachira temple. What makes this temple distinct is that it doesn't have a traditional structure or idol worship like most Hindu temples. Instead, it is an open area with a sacred tank surrounded by groves of trees. Have your dinner at a nearby restaurant and check-in to a hotel near oachira. Take some time to relax and unwind after your journey.
Day 4
Start your day with breakfast and check out from the hotel. Start your journey towards the iconic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, One of the most revered Vishnu Temples in India and a significant pilgrim site. It is considered as the richest worship place in the world, which is approximately 116 kilometres away and takes around 3 hours to reach by road. Explore the temple complex and witness the rituals. Seek blessings at the temple. After completing the darshan at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple proceed to Pazhavangadi Sree Ganapathy Temple, significant Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Thiruvananthapuram sampling authentic Kerala cuisine. After lunch head to the Napier Museum, located nearby. This museum houses, a rare collection of archaeological and historical artifacts, including bronze idols, ancient ornaments and ivory carvings. Proceed to Attukal Bhagavathy Temple, revered Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy, also known as Attukal Amma. The temple holds immense religious and cultural significance, particularly among the devotees of Devi (the Divine Mother) in Kerala. Attukal Bhagavathy Temple is approximately 14 minutes’ drive. Spend some time in the temple premises, offering prayers and seeking blessings from Attukal Amma. Tour Ends and Guests will be driven to the Trivandrum International Airport or Trivandrum Central Railway Station.
