Nalambalam Yatra begins from the Rama temple in Triprayar and ends up at Shatrughna Temple in Payyammal. It is customary to visit the four temples in the order Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna respectively. A pilgrimage to these temples on a single day during the holy month of Karkkidakam believed to shower blessings and ensure prosperity. Starting from Thriprayar reaching Payammel through Koodalmanikyam and Moozhikulam, ending back at Thriprayar is the custom of pilgrimage.
Day 1
Guest will be received at Kochi International Airport / Central railway station Thrissur and driven to the hotel. The distance between Kochi International Airport and Guruvayur is approximately 80 kilometres, and it takes around 2-3 hours to reach, depending on traffic conditions. Check-in to the hotel and freshen up. Guest will visit the Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple revered as one of the most significant pilgrimage destinations in the country. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, the embodiment of love, compassion, and divine grace in Hindu mythology. Spend some time in the temple premises, offering prayers and seeking blessings from Lord Krishna. If time permits, you can also witness the evening pooja (prayer) rituals, which usually start around 6:30 PM. There may be specific dress codes required for entry. Typically, men are required to wear dhoti (mundu) and bare their upper body, while women are expected to wear traditional attire like saree or salwar kameez.
After visiting the temple, you can have dinner either at the hotel's restaurant or explore nearby dining options. After dinner, take some time to relax and unwind after your journey.
Day 2
Begin your day early in the morning to ensure you have enough time to complete the pilgrimage. Have a fulfilling breakfast at your hotel in Guruvayur before embarking on your journey. Leave Guruvayur and head towards Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple, which will be your first stop for the Nalambala Darshan pilgrimage. Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple is approximately 24 kilometers away from Guruvayur, and the journey takes around 40 to 50 minutes by road.
After completing the darshan at Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple proceed to Koodalmanikyam Temple in Irinjalakuda. Koodalmanikyam Temple is approximately 42 kilometers away from Sree Rama Temple and takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach by road. Visit Koodalmanikyam Bharatha Temple and participate in the rituals and prayers dedicated to Lord Bharatha. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant or hotel, preferably close to Koodalmanikyam Bharatha Temple.
After lunch, proceed to Thirumoozhikkulam Sree Lakshmana Perumal Temple near Aluva. Thirumoozhikkulam Sree Lakshmana Perumal Temple is approximately 42 kilometers away from Koodalmanikyam Bharatha Temple and takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach by road. Visit Thirumoozhikkulam Sree Lakshmana Perumal Temple and participate in the rituals and prayers dedicated to Lord Lakshmana. Explore the temple premises and take in the serene atmosphere of the surroundings.
After completing the darshan at Thirumoozhikkulam Sree Lakshmana Perumal Temple, proceed to Payyammal Sree Shathrugna Swamy Temple in Peringottukara. Payyammal Sree Shathrugna Swamy Temple is approximately 25 kilometers away from Thirumoozhikkulam Sree Lakshmana Perumal Temple and takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach by road.
Visit Payyammal Sree Shathrugna Swamy Temple and participate in the evening rituals and prayers dedicated to Lord Shathrugna. Seek blessings and reflect on your spiritual journey throughout the day. Enjoy a wholesome dinner at a nearby restaurant or hotel, preferably close to Payyammal Sree Shathrugna Swamy Temple. After dinner, return to your hotel in Guruvayur, completing the Nalambala pilgrimage darshan and reflecting on the divine experiences of the day. Tour Ends and Guests will be driven back to the Pickup point.
