This scenic pathway offers breathtaking views of the misty valleys, mountains, and forests as the morning light breaks over the landscape.
The Park-going guests will head back to the hotel to freshen up after the morning walk. All of the guests will have breakfast either served in the Villa or in a nearby Restaurant.
By 9:00 AM we will start the picnic.
The first destination of the day for the group will be the famed Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, the oldest in India and the second oldest in Asia. The first one is The Cheomseongdae in Gyeongju, South Korea is Asia's oldest astronomical observatory, dating back to the seventh century. But The Kodaikanal Solar Observatory (KoSO) can claim the oldest with modern Instruments.
Then we will move to Kodaikanal lake. Kodaikanal Lake is a star-shaped man-made lake that is draped on an area of 60 acres. Boating, horse riding, cycling and angling are a few of the adventure activities tourists can appease themselves with, near the lake. There are a lot of fun and adventure activities available at the lake. Guests can choose any activities or scroll around the lake and pathway which itself rejuvenates the mind and body.
After the Lake activities, we will go back to the Villa, Refresh and Checkout. Then we will have lunch at a nearby restaurant.
We start the day’s second session by visiting Moir Point, a popular viewpoint that offers panoramic views of Kodaikanal’s valleys and cliffs. The spot is especially stunning in the morning, with clouds and mist often hovering around the mountains. Situated at the entrance of the forest which leads up all the way to the exquisite Berijam Lake.
Moir Point is one of the most significant viewpoints present in Kodaikanal. The place is named after Sir Thomas Moir who started constructing the Goschen Road in 1929 CE.
Visit Guna Caves, famous for their dark, mysterious caverns and towering roots of ancient trees.
Adjacent to the cave is Pillar Rocks, a popular natural landmark comprising three massive rock pillars standing tall and offering awe-inspiring views of the surrounding forested landscape.
Visit Pine Forest, a few kilometers away. A seemingly unending crop of tall, majestic pine trees, hemming you in and nuzzling you in its wild clasp, as birds chirp away in gay abandon. At the Pine Forests, one of the must-visit locales in Kodaikanal, hundreds of pine trees dot the landscape, making it an ideal spot for travelers to wander about. These forests are cloaked in a rustic charm, and walking under the canopy of these old pine trees will offer much-needed solitude for those seeking it. We spent a maximum of 30 Minutes there.
Our next stop will be Silver Cascade WaterFalls.
On the way back we will stop near Silver Cascade Falls. This picturesque waterfall is located along the Kodaikanal-Madurai Road and is formed by overflow from Kodai Lake. It's a great place for photographers and some even swim in the cold, clear water.
