Day 1
Guest will be received at Mangalore International Airport / Mangalore Railway Station. Check-in to the hotel and freshen up. Begin your trip with a day exploring the sights of Mangalore. Visit the Kudroli Gokarnath Temple, a historic temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kudroli Gokarnath Temple is also known as Gokarnanatheshwara Temple. The temple's foundation was laid by Sri Narayana Guru, a social reformer and spiritual leader, in 1912, with the objective of abolishing the caste system and providing a place of worship for all communities, especially the Billava community who were not allowed in other temples. The temple architecture is influenced by the Dravidian style and features gopuram decorated with murals of various gods and goddesses. The annual Navratri celebration is a significant event here, with thousands of devotees gathering for festivities. Explore Sultan Battery, a watchtower to keep a lookout for the entry of warships into the Gurpur River. The battery, made from black stones had been given the look of a miniature fortress. Not having withstood the test of time and extreme weather, this tower stands in ruins today. Spend the afternoon at Tannirbhavi Beach, relaxing and enjoying the sea. Take an evening stroll and explore the local markets. Back to the hotel and overnight stay in Mangalore.
Day 2
Begin your day with the breakfast at your hotel. Check out from your hotel and drive to Udupi. The distance from Mangalore to Udupi is 56 kilometers and it takes around approximately 1 hour to reach. Check into your hotel and freshen up. Visit the renowned Udupi Sri Krishna Temple, one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in South India. Udupi Sri Krishna Matha is one of the most auspicious temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. The idol of Krishna is adorned with jewels and a golden chariot. What makes the temple unique, is its worshipping pattern. The prayers and process of the whole worship take place only through a silver-plated window with nine holes called the Navagraha Kitiki. Visit the Anantheshwara Temple, another ancient and revered temple in the town. The temple complex also houses Chandramouleshwara and Krishna Temples. The main shrine is made of stone and has a recently installed silver door frame. A Hindu philosopher, Madhavacharya, trained and taught his disciples in the temple complex. In the afternoon, take a trip to Malpe Beach, where you can relax on the sandy shores and enjoy water sports if interested. Visit the nearby St. Mary's Island to witness unique hexagonal basalt rock formations. Back to the hotel and overnight stay in Udupi.
Day 3
Begin your day with the breakfast at your hotel. Check out from your hotel and drive to Murudeswhwar. The distance from Udupi to Murudeswhwar is 102 kilometers and it takes around approximately 2 hours to reach. Check into the hotel in Murudeswhwar. Relax and freshen up. Visit the iconic Murudeswhwar Temple, magnificent shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple boasts of the second highest statue of Lord Shiva in the world. The main temple's entrance, also called the 'gopura' stands at 123 feet and you can witness the breathtaking view of the Shiva statue from the top of the gopura. The Shiva statue here is quite an impressive one and will surely leave you with a humble sense of tranquility. Explore the Murudeswhwar Beach and enjoy some beach time. The sand of this beach is quite excellent, and its silky texture is not very common. Surrounded by gentle hills and lush green foliage, this beach is always bustling with activity. Witness the Shiva statue and attend the evening ceremony at the temple. Back to the hotel and overnight stay in Murudeswhwar.
Day 4
After having breakfast, Check out from the hotel, and transfer to Mangalore Airport for your return journey.
