2. Mattancherry (10:45 AM – 01:30 PM)

The Paradesi Synagogue, one of the oldest active synagogues in the Commonwealth, is known for its beautiful chandeliers and hand-painted tiles. Jew Street offers a vibrant experience with antique shops and spice markets. The Dutch Palace showcases exquisite Kerala murals depicting epics like the Ramayana and offers insights into the royal history of Kochi.
Lunch (01:30 PM – 02:30 PM)
Lunch can be arranged either in Mattancherry or Fort Kochi. Fort Kochi is recommended due to its wider range of restaurants offering Kerala cuisine and group-friendly dining options.
3. Fort Kochi (02:30 PM – 04:45 PM)
Fort Kochi is a charming coastal town known for its colonial architecture and historical significance. St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, holds great historical importance. The Santa Cruz Basilica is renowned for its impressive architecture and artistic interiors. Fort Kochi Beach offers a relaxing atmosphere with iconic Chinese fishing nets, while the Indo-Portuguese Museum preserves valuable Christian artifacts reflecting Indo-European cultural exchange.
4. Water Metro & Marine Drive (05:00 PM – 06:00 PM)
The Water Metro ride from Fort Kochi to Marine Drive provides a scenic and comfortable journey through Kochi’s waterways. While the bus travels separately, guests can enjoy a pleasant walk along Marine Drive, taking in views of the backwaters and city skyline. Cochin Marine drive is one of the two marine drives in India; Other one is in Mumbai.
5. Vallarppadam Basilica (06:15 PM – 07:15 PM)
The National Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Ransom at Vallarppadam is one of the most important Christian pilgrimage centers in Kerala. The church is known for its serene atmosphere and strong spiritual significance, attracting devotees from across the country. This visit provides a peaceful conclusion to the day’s journey.
