Day 1
Guest will be received at Kochi International Airport / Chalakudy Railway Station. The journey to Athirappilly takes around 28 kilometres and it takes around approximately 40 minutes to reach. Enjoy the scenic drive through lush greenery and small villages. Enjoy breakfast at a local eatery en route to enjoy a delicious breakfast of traditional Kerala cuisine. Visit Thumboormuzhi / Ezhattumugham. This spot is famous for its Hanging Bridge, Butterfly Park, and lush greenery. Walk across the Hanging Bridge, which offers stunning views of the Chalakudy River. Explore the Butterfly Park, home to a wide variety of butterfly species. Enjoy the peaceful ambience of Ezhattumugham, where the Chalakudy River splits into seven streams.
Visit Charpa Waterfalls, situated between Athirappilly and Vazhachal waterfalls, about 5 km before Athirappilly. Experience the seasonal Charpa Waterfalls, which cascade down a rocky terrain, and if the water flow is strong, you can even feel the mist on your face as you drive past. A quick photo stop and a short walk along the waterfall view.
Visit Vazhachal Waterfalls. Vazhachal is part of the Sholayar Reserve Forest. Take in the calm and majestic beauty of the Vazhachal Waterfalls, which flows down a rocky, wide terrain, unlike the vertical drop of Athirappilly. The area is also rich in rare medicinal plants and surrounded by thick forests, ideal for nature lovers. Visit the Peringalkuthu Dam, a scenic spot known for its peaceful environment and beautiful views of the water. The dam is primarily for hydropower and is situated in a serene forest area.
