DAY 01 : Arrive in Thimphu

A warm welcome to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Upon arrival, you will be received by our representative who will escort you to the hotel. It is around 2-hour drive from the Paro International airport of Bhutan. Freshen up and then get ready to explore the wonders of Thimphu. We will take you to the major attractions of Thimphu such as Buddha Dordenma Statue (it is the largest Buddha statue in the world), Tashichho Dzong (the fortified and the largest religious structure in Thimphu) and the Memorial Chorten, a beautiful Buddhist shrine with a gold spire built in the memory of Bhutan’s third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Post sightseeing tour, our representative will take you back to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

DAY 02 : Thimphu to Wangdue Phodrang/ Punakha

Post breakfast, check out from the hotel in Thimphu and our representative will drive you to Wangdue. It is a lovely town in central Bhutan known for its market where you will find amazing bamboo products, local produce, slate and stone carvings. Explore its market and buy some souvenirs to take back home. Visit Wangdiphodrang Dzong perched on a ridge overlooking a river and enjoy beautiful views of the valley. From there head to Punakha (15 km from Wangdue), the winter capital of Bhutan. Enjoy marvelous views of the distant Himalayas at Dochula pass (altitude 3,050m) on Thimphu – Punakha road. After reaching Punakha, our representative will take you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Evening at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Punakha.

DAY 03 : Punakha Sightseeing

Post breakfast, set out to explore the enchanting Punakha valley. This valley abounds in fruits and crops. We will visit the famous 17th century fortress, Punakha Dzong, which is one of the most amazing Dzongs in Bhutan. It played a great role in Bhutan’s history. Visit this fortress and other attractions of Punakha such as Chimi Lhakhang temple, the hilltop Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten and Punakha Ritsha Village. Post sightseeing, return to the hotel in Punakha . Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04 : Punakha to Paro

Post breakfast, check out from the hotel in Punakha and our representative will drive you to Paro. It is a delightful valley town in Bhutan known for several religious sites. Paro is the only place in Bhutan which has an international airport. It is one of the most challenging airports in the world and beautiful as well. After arriving in Paro, check in at the hotel. Relax and freshen up.

Later explore this charming valley and its famous attractions such as Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Paro with around 3000 artifacts dating back to 1500 years ago, and Paro Dzong. Remaining day at leisure. Also visit Paro Dzong, a famous Buddhist monastery and fortress. It is one of the best examples of Bhutanese architecture. Return to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in Paro.

DAY 05 : Paro Sightseeing

Post breakfast get ready for Paro sightseeing. We will take you to some of the best Paro attractions such as Kyichu Lhakhang, an ancient temple in Bhutan where devotees come from far and wide. Visit a local farmhouse, where you can interact with local people and see their lifestyle. And maybe taste some homemade wine. Also, visit the iconic Taktsang Lhakhang or the Tiger’s Nest, the must-see attraction of Paro. Located in a remote location, this monastery has distinctive architecture.

Post sightseeing, return to the hotel and spend the remaining day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Paro.

DAY 06 : Depart from Paro

Today marks the end of your tour, offering you amazing memories! Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and then our representative will drive you to the airport for your onward journey. See you soon on another wonderful journey.
