Day 1 : Athirappilly Waterfalls

• Proceed to Peringalkuthu Dam. The dam is located in a dense forest and offers a quiet and serene ambiance with beautiful views.

• Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant en route to Athirappilly.

• Visit Athirappilly Waterfalls, often referred to as the "Niagara of India."

• Spend the afternoon exploring the area around the falls.

• You can hike down to the base of the waterfalls for a close-up view of the 80-foot cascade.

• Take your time enjoying the tranquil environment, the lush greenery, and the power of the falls.

Day 2 : Athirappilly to Malakkapara, Valparai, and Aliyar Dam

• After the breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Malakkapara. 

• Enjoy a beautiful drive through the lush forests of the Sholayar region, which is part of the Western Ghats. (Sahyadri mountain ranges). 

•  The route is covered with dense greenery, and you may spot some wildlife, especially monkeys, birds, and even elephants.

• Arrive in Malakkapara, a small picturesque hill station amidst tea plantations. You can take a short stroll around the town, exploring the tea estates and the cool mountain breeze. Visit some local tea shops to taste freshly brewed local tea.

• Proceed to Malakkapara View Point, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

• Continue your journey towards the Upper Sholayar Dam, one of the highest dams in the region.

• Proceed to Valparai, a picturesque hill station nestled amidst tea and coffee plantations. 

• Enjoy a local lunch at one of the restaurants in Valparai.

• After lunch, visit Thalanar Snow Point, located in the Tamil Nadu part of the Western Ghats.

• It’s a popular viewpoint, offering sweeping views of the mountains and valleys below. 

• Drive towards Attaketti, famous for its winding roads and 40 hairpin bends. These hairpin bends provide breathtaking views of the valleys and hills below.

• Visit Aliyar Dam, a popular spot for tourists with picturesque views of the reservoir and the surrounding hills.

• After spending time at Aliyar Dam, return back to Thrissur/Ernakulam.
