Start your day with a traditional South Indian breakfast at the hotel or at a nearby restaurant. Idli, dosa, vada, and filter coffee are popular choices. Begin your pilgrimage by visiting the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, located in Tiruchanur, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi, the consort of Lord Venkateswara. According to mythology, Goddess Padmavathi emerged from a golden lotus in the Padma Sarovaram (Lotus Pond) in Tiruchanur. Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple holds immense significance among devotees, particularly for married couples who seek the blessings of the goddess for a harmonious married life. It is believed that a visit to this temple is essential before visiting the main shrine of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala, as per the tradition. Spend some time in the temple premises, offering prayers and seeking blessings from Goddess Padmavathi.
After visiting the temple, enjoy a delicious Andhra meal at a local restaurant. Don't miss trying the famous Tirupati Laddu. Visit Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is one of the prominent temples in Tirupati. Spend some time exploring the local markets for souvenirs, religious items, and handicrafts. In the evening visit Kapila Theertham, a scenic spot with a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It's believed to be the place where Lord Shiva performed penance. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner at a local restaurant, savoring more Andhra cuisine specialties. Return to your hotel for comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2
Begin your day early in the morning to ensure you have enough time to complete the pilgrimage. Enjoy South Indian breakfast at your hotel. Begin early to visit the renowned Sri Venkateswara Temple, one of the most revered and visited Hindu temples in the world. The temple holds immense spiritual significance for devotees, who believe that Lord Venkateswara (also known as Lord Balaji, Srinivasa, or Govinda) fulfills the wishes and prayers of his devotees. It is considered as one of the holiest and the wealthiest temples in the world and millions of devotees flock here to pay their reverence. Around 50,000 pilgrims visit the temple every day, which is a massive number. Depending on the crowd, you might have to wait in line for darshan (worship). It's advisable to plan your visit early to avoid long queues. After darshan, enjoy your lunch at one of the eateries near the temple complex. Spend some time exploring the beautiful surroundings of Tirumala hills. Visit other small temples and take in the panoramic views. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, relishing the last flavors of Andhra cuisine. Check out from your hotel for your return journey. Here we end our trip.
